We are looking for an energetic OISC-level 2 caseworker for an exciting position delivering immigration and generalist advice and casework to non-EEA destitute migrants in 4 different London Hospitals (UCH, St Thomas, Royal London & Newham Hospital). The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of this service funded by the GLA Rough Sleepers Innovation Fund and Newham Council. Jointly working with hospital discharge teams, the post holder will sensitively explore the options for non-EEA homeless migrants unable to sustainably exit the hospital system and provide advice, signposting and casework to regularise their migration status and access services and support. Recently our charity has been key in uncovering the Windrush Scandal and evidence arising from your work will be used to advocate for migrants’ rights.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the issues faced by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants at-risk. You will have a good understanding of the challenges faced by these groups, including destitution and access to services and No Recourse to Public Funds.
