Immigration Caseworker & Trainer – Praxis

We are looking for an energetic OISC-level 2 immigration caseworker & trainer for an exciting position building the capacity and knowledge of grass-roots organisations working with homeless or ‘hidden homeless’  EEA and non-EEA  migrants, providing a key service during the Brexit transition.

Funded by the GLA Innovation Fund, the post holder will be employed by Praxis, a migrant support organisation, and seconded to The Connection at St Martin’s, a homelessness charity in central London. The post holder will develop and deliver training and carry out other capacity building activities as well as providing casework and advice on an outreach basis on immigration & asylum (up to OISC L2/SRA L1), housing & homelessness, welfare benefits,  and community care law.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the challenges faced by non-EEA & EEA migrants at risk, including destitution, access to services and No Recourse to Public Funds. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders.
