With the ever increasing use of AI in UK infrastructure, we have already witnessed AI being gradually implemented into the UK immigration and asylum system for some time. Through our new AI Under Watch resource, we have explored where we suspect AI is being used through creative workshops with people seeking asylum, and refugees.
We are inviting organisations working with migrants, including refugees to learn about AI, and to grow awareness of its use in the immigration and asylum system, and collectively discuss how we push back against its harms, and call for greater transparency when AI is being used.
During this session, you will have an opportunity to play some of the games we used during the project, discuss the findings from the project, and listen to insights from some of the participants who co-created the resource. We will then offer a light iftar, and networking opportunities.
