Announcing exciting staff changes at MRN

Fizza Qureshi has returned from leave (welcome back Fizza!). Moving forwards, Fizza and Jilna Shah (who has been covering Fizza’s leave) will be sharing the CEO role. We are excited about the breadth of experience that both bring to the role and we look forward to continuing to coordinate and strengthen the work of our partners in our collective struggle for migrants’ rights.

We are also delighted to have two new staff members on our team, Jashmin Patel (BME Women’s Hub Project Manager) and Mumbi Nkonde (Interim London Project Manager). Jash is managing MRN’s role in the Real Change Collective, a partnership of 6 specialist charities working to provide services to BME clients. Jash is currently developing a community leadership programme for BME women. Mumbi is working on our London project which coordinates and collectivises migrants’ rights organising in London, as well as supporting migrant leadership in targeted London boroughs.

It’s been a time of reflection and renewal here at MRN, so watch this space for more news soon!
