KIN is a grassroots project focused on building a national community of black organisers working together to support each other, share best organising practice and strengthen the movement for black liberation in the UK.

The first step in this process will be a convening of organisers from across the UK, taking place across 3 days in August 2018.

The first KIN convening will provide an opportunity for participants to learn from each other’s experiences of tackling racism across diverse political contexts, andco-create strategies for resistance that span geographical divides.

KIN are currently looking for a Communications Consultant to support us in coordinating the capturing of the event in a number of ways. The job will include briefing photographers, videographers, note takers and social media capturers and coordinating them over the three day convening. The successful applicant will be supported/line-managed through a peer-management structure. The successful applicant would receive regular and constructive support that responds to their needs. We would propose a weekly one-to-one with your peer manager, as well as phone calls and responsive support as and when necessary.
