Migrants’ Aspiration Programme 2026: a co-curated radical leadership programme for migrants
Do you have experience of migration and are interested in community organising and campaigning? Are you curious to explore alternative ways of organising and more radical & abolitionist strategies?
Then the Migrants’ Aspiration Programme (MAP) could be for you.
What is MAP?
MAP is a co-curated radical leadership programme for migrants. It is a space to reimagine leadership, build connections, and explore practical and creative approaches to campaigning and organising.
The programme is designed for you in partnership with you. Together, we will aim to learn from participants to imagine alternative ways of organising and explore more radical and abolitionist strategies. You will have the chance to attend sessions on a broad set of topics including:
- Tactics for Today: Navigating Existing Structures
- Imagining Otherwise: Organising for Change
- Building Partnerships & Coalitions
As well as the opportunity to shape the programme to your needs – selecting from a range of workshops depending on where you want to grow your skills. These include:
- Transforming Harm
- Language justice
- Zine-making
- Mapping for Liberation
You will also gain access to a curated mentorship programme offering one-to-one mentorship with a mentor who is experienced in the areas you want to deepen your knowledge and network in.
Who is MAP for?
People with lived experience of migration, diaspora, displacement, racialisation who are interested in developing their skills as organisers or campaigners within their communities. We especially encourage people who meet the below criteria to apply (don’t be put off if these don’t apply to you, we’d still love to hear from you)!
- Have been directly impacted by hostile immigration policies
- Are navigating a hostile immigration system alongside other intersecting marginalised identities (e.g. gender identities, disability)
Application deadline: 5pm on Sunday 7th December, 2025
If you are shortlisted, we will contact you in December to schedule an interview. We will aim to confirm places by the end of December and you will have two weeks to confirm your acceptance.
There will be bursaries available to cover participants’ travel and childcare costs where needed.
Becoming a mentor
We’re inviting experienced organisers, campaigners, and community builders to become mentors for our 2026 cohort! As a mentor, you’ll be paired with a participant based on shared goals and areas of practice. You’ll provide one-to-one support and guidance as they explore new ways of organising, campaigning, and building community power. We ask that you dedicate a minimum of just two hours over the three-month duration of the programme. To apply to become a mentor please fill out the form below.
