Salford May Day Parade – Unity in the Community

The role for organising May Day has been traditionally done by Salford Trades Union Council (Est. 1866) and this year we want to spread the message of Unity in the Community. We believe bringing people together to celebrate our differences and diversity is the best way to create strength through unity.

We’d like to invite all community groups to join us on the annual May Day parade on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May. Please bring banners and flags to make it as colourful as possible.

Assemble – Bexley Square, Chapel Street, Salford 12pm

End Rally – Sacred Trinity Church, Chapel Street, Salford 2pm

Joining us on the parade and speaking will be: Rebecca Long Bailey, MP for Salford and Eccles; Kevin Lucas, UNISON; Paul Kelly, President of Salford TUC; Annette Wright, Manchester TUC.

We’re inviting all organisations to hold a stall at Sacred Trinity Church – to book a space please email [email protected]
