The APPG on Ending Homelessness is conducting an inquiry into migrant homelessness.
It is looking for evidence on migrant homelessness with a particular focus on migrants with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). The information gathered will be used to develop workable solutions to migrant homelessness, which will be included in the group’s end of year report on rapid responses to homelessness.
The APPG would welcome any insight into the scale of the problem of migrant homelessness in the UK with particular regard to migrants with No Recourse to Public Funds;
- what the causes and consequences of homelessness among this group are;
- what usually happens when migrants with NRPF approach authorities for help (both in terms of families with children who the LA has a duty of care towards and single homeless people);
- examples of best practice; and recommendations for how we can tackle migrant homelessness.
If you would like to submit evidence or find out more about the inquiry, please contact the APPG Secretariat at [email protected].
Deadline for submitting evidence is 28th February 2018.
