This project, One-stop-shops for mobile EU citizens, is aimed at increasing the political participation of EU nationals in the countries that they have moved to. In the UK the referendum in June 2016 showed a small majority of those who voted wanted the UK to leave the EU. In the UK the project will focus on advising EU/EEA nationals on how they can obtain documents to show that they are resident in UK or to obtain British Citizenship.
Organised by Migrants’ Rights Network and the EU Mobile Citizens Project in partnership with:
– Veronika Susedkova: a local human rights campaigner currently working with WomenCentre Calderdale and Kirklees and volunteering with Pathways to Integration project.
– Pathways to Integration: we are a Kirklees based immigration advice project delivered under the umbrella of Kirklees Citizens Advice and Law Centre and funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
– WomenCentre Calderdale and Kirklees: we are a registered charity with a mission to improve the quality of life for women both locally and nationally. With centres in Calderdale and Kirklees, we have more than 30 years experience of women’s issues and women’s lives.
