Survey-Impact of extending NHS charging on the third sector

Doctors of the World UK wants to hear from third sector organisations about the potential impact of government plans to extend NHS charging to community care and to non-NHS providers who receive NHS funding (and potentially local authority health funding).

It will require all providers to check whether their patients/service users are entitled to free NHS care and charge up front for those who aren’t (short term visitors and undocumented migrants including refused asylum seekers).

The current proposed date for these regulations to come into force is the 23rd October, you can read more in the charity’s briefing here.

Doctors of the World UK is asking third sector organisations to fill in a two page survey by the 11 September.
