We are really excited to welcome our new Community Organisers!
Our Words Matter Community Organisers training with Common Languages (11-13 March 2025) was filled with amazing conversations and meaningful reflection on power, language, narrative change, and justice. We had sessions on Words Matter, Language Justice, Collective Care, a zine making workshop, as well as more practical sessions on facilitation, project management, workshop design and community engagement.
Narrative change should not just happen in political and media spaces, but also within and between migrant communities. Systems change will only happen from the ground up. And so we look forward to seeing the Community Organisers bring Words Matter to life in their communities, by nourishing long-term grassroots spaces for countering harmful narratives in multiple languages and contexts.
